Crop Phenotyping in field conditions

The workshop carried at the facilities of ITACYL located in Zamadueñas (Valladolid, Spain) had more than 50 participants including researchers, farmers and technicians aimed to reintroducing target crop phenotyping issues within the context of precision sustainable agriculture. The meeting combined talks within the context of the use of novel approaches to characterize crops with the goal to better adjust irrigation, fertilization and pesticide use. Together with the talks, demonstrations sessions were carried out in the different crops grown in Zamadueñas field trials. The demonstrations sessions included practical aspects on the use of satellite images, with different devices  such as drones, hyperspectral equipment (such as FieldSpec4) and other field phenotyping tools such as greenseeker, Dualex, Spad etc.
