SYMPOSIUM ON PHYSIOLOGY AND BREEDING OF CEREALS

The goal of this symposium was to create a fertile space for scientific exchange and to facilitate synergies between scientific groups and companies working on issues of physiology, genetics and cereal breeding. The scientific meeting focused on target studies analyzing impact of abiotic and biotic factors on crop yield, quality improvement (industrial, nutritional) physiology and crop phenotyping. Among others, cutting-edge works were exposed in the areas of agronomy, precision agriculture, efficient management, characterization of crops, etc. The symposium was attended by 80 participants from different countries such as Spain, Germany, Argentina, Italy, Chile, France, Portugal, Australia, etc. The Symposium was attended by different companies from the agronomic sector such as TimacAGRO, Grupo AN, Nafosa, Agrovegetal, Guadalsem, ATENS, Corteva and was sponsored by the Spanish Association of Cereal Technicians (AETC) and the Spanish Society of Plant Biology (SEBP).
